Tutorial for Mini Scrapbook

Well here it is. Some of my pictures might not be so great, but this will give you the basics and you can scroll down and look at the finished one for more add ons.
You'll need to make a pattern to fold your DSP over out of the cardboard backing that the DSP comes on. Cut it to measure 12" by 5 5/8". You need (2) 12" x 12" pieces of DSP that are the same.
Take your pattern and put it in the middle of the 12" x 12" DSP and fold over the pattern from the top down, add sticky strip to the edge of the other edge and fold it up. Do this to both of your DS papers. This will give you 2 tubes.
Fold both of you tubes in half and on the folded side fold in 3/8" for your binding.
Put them together and using your Crop-a-dile and the 3/8" hole punch, punch two holes about an inch or so in from the bottom and top. Then tie them together using a piece of ribbon 22" long.
Next you need 4 pieces of coordinating cardstock 5 1/2" x 5 5/8". These are your pull-out pages.
( Sorry this one is blurry.) Then you are going to put tabs on them using the Round Tab Punch.
Like this. You can decorate as you please.
Slip your pull-out pages in the pockets. Then you can just take scraps and start to decorate the inside of your scrapbook.
(Squares)
(Triangles)
( Border Punch)
And the finished product. I got this great idea from a swap last year at convention and I'm still trying to find the ladies name so I can give her credit. This is a super cute and fast little book to make and would be a great project for kids. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

This One's For My Great Niece!

Purdy cute isn't it! This is a name frame I made for my great niece using the Big Shot! I had lot's of fun making this one. No stamping at all!!! (Which sometimes can be a good thing.) I used the Serif Essentials Alphabet,Beautiful Butterfly, and Birds and Blooms Dies.
Besides die-cutting the letters out in Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip, I also cut some out of cardboard to lift the letters up of the paper. I also added a thinner layer of the cardboard that comes behind the DS paper behind the Piroquette Pink and the Polka Dot layers. For the butterfly I added two small flower leaf dies from the Birds and Blooms Die and two 1/4" circles. Then used the 1/4" Chocolate grosgrain ribbon for the butterfly body!

Then I added a couple of the flowers again from the Birds and Blooms Die to finish it off! Tada! I saw this idea on somebodies blog or gallery, but I can't for the life of me find it. If someone knows, please tell me so I can give credit for this wonderful idea. Plus I'ld really like to see the other one again! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Gotta go weed my flower bed some more. The weather has been great for the last couple of days! Fingers crossed that we'll soon be back in the fields!

"Bless Our Home" Framed Art

This is a Hostess gift I made using the SU Headline Alphabet and a $3.00 Walmart frame. I really wish we had another alphabet like it to offer customers. I love to make name frames and such using this set. I got my idea which was mostly a CASE from Heather's SCS Gallery .

Hi everyone! I hope all of you were able to join in on the Stampin' Addicts blog hop this past week-end! Wow talk about some talented ladies! It was a lot of fun to join in on the hop. Anyway I wanted to post some pictures of the projects we made at my Mother's Day Stamp Camp. The projects included a SU envy mini scrapbook, tea bag holder, flowerpot card, and a alter a little jar with m&m's in it.

Regular card stock and inks used were Choc. Chip, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, Pink Pirquette, and Whisper White. I used SU ribbon, punches, Flower Layers #2 and the Big Shot. Stamp sets I used were Lovely Letters, All Holidays, Curvy Verses, and Great Friend.

Welcome to the Parade Of Papers! You are at Stop #15.

Hello there and welcome to Stampin' Addicts first ever blog hop! Each stop along our Parade of Papers tour features projects made with Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper created by some talented Stampin' Up demonstrators. Designer Series Papers are buy 3 get 1 Free throughout the month of May, so we want to celebrate with you. I am stop #15 some of you will start here and some of you have hopped over from Dawn Marie's blog, which was stop #13. After checking out my blog you'll hop on over to Lyssa's blog, stop #16 and see what she has come up with. Remember though, just like Cinderella at the ball, the fun ends at Midnight EDT on Sunday.

The Stampin' Up Designer Paper I chose to feature was Good Morning Sunshine. And I don't know about you ladies, but we sure could use some sunshine around here. This paper makes me happy just looking at it!

For my first project I chose to alter a little chipboard suitcase. Isn't it cute? It looks alot like the one on the front of the new Occasions mini. I accented it with Summer Sun Cordory Buttons and 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon for the handle and ran a piece of 3/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon across the inside of the lid. If you are wondering where I got it, well Creative Express of course! My second project is hanging from the 3/8" ribbon. It's a keyring mini sticky note holder. View the close up in the next picture.
Besides the DS paper I used Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Whisper White Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Stamp Set: Cheep Talk, Other Stuff: Scallop Circle Punch, 1/4", 1 1/4",
1 3/8" Circle Punches. Pacific Point Stripped Groasgrain Ribbon.
This card features the stamp set Cheep Talk also. The papers I used were Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, and Whisper White. Ink used were Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, and Pacific Point. Ribbon used Kiwi Kiss Striped.

Just Buzzin' By happens to be a favorite set of mine. I used Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun paper to accent this card. I used Stampin' Up Water Color Crayons to color my images and blender pens to smooth them out. A little brown flower brad up in the corner gives a fun little finish to the card.

My last project is a little scrapbook made out of 3 Stampin' Up envelopes. Remember this is nationaly scrapbooking month, so I had to do some scrapbooking! I got this idea from Dawn over at her blog DOstampin with Dawn.

The colors and supplies used on this project are pretty the same as the other projects, except I did use the stamp set Lovely Letters. I hope you enjoy my projects and thank you for stopping by stop #15 and please continue on to Lyssa blog, stop #16 and see what she has come up with the Raseberry Tart Paper! For more information about the blog tour and a blog Parade list visit Stampin' Addicts. Hope you enjoy the rest of the parade.
How about some BLOG CANDY! I've got a level 2 Hostess Stamp Set called A Little Somethin' to give away. Just leave me a comment and tell me which of my projects you liked the best! I'll determine the winner on Monday by a random drawing. Winner must have a United States address.
Have a great day!

The Cutest Little Clipboards I've Ever Seen!

Here's one of the many things I got from Creative Express last week. It's a two pack of mini clipboards and they were only 45 cents per pack! I wish now I would have bought them all! But I thought now Twila don't be a pig, let someone else have some. Ok, I must confess after thinking about it for awhile after working with some of these, I decided to be a PIG and get the rest of them. Sorry, but I just couldn't help it! Like I really need more stuff, at least they don't take up much room!
Here's the first ones that I altered. I just think they're pretty darn cute! What do you think? I just have so much fun altering little stuff, can you tell I'ld rather be stampin'? If you want to see them better click on the picture for a closer view.
Here's a picture of them next to the 1/4" circle punch so you can see how small they really are. Well I'ld better go clean up my mess so I can sew some more. Come back soon so we can "stamp a little longer". Have a great day, hopefully it's not raining where you live!

Pink & Purple Butterflies! SU Style

So what do you think of my wrapping job? This is a baby shower gift for a dear friend of mine. She is decorating the baby girl's room in butterflies so I thought I would stay with the theme. I used the butterfly stamp from the set Great Friend and the SU Butterfly die and the BS. To tell you the truth I've never had so much fun wrapping a package. Update: Amanda loved my wrapping job and didn't want to open it, but she did and inside she found alot of pink and brown baby stuff, and a little blue dress!

This is the gift card I made to go with the gift. I just love our new eyelet border punch!

I also made the mint boxes for the baby shower. I took this picture inside so my lighting isn't the greatest. Love our new scallop oval punch too!
